LANSING, Mich. — Social media entrepreneur and talk radio producer Carole Polan is The Rossman Group’s newest account executive.
Polan most recently produced Dan Mulhern’s “Everyday Leadership” radio show and started CAP Communications, a viral marketing and social media business.
“We’re committed to providing our clients with cutting-edge communications services, and Carole will help us do that with current and emerging social media tactics,” said Kelly Rossman-McKinney, founder and CEO of The Rossman Group. “Carole hits the ground running in offering our clients the most effective new-media tools available.”
Polan also worked as a promotional representative and on-site coordinator for Citadel Broadcasting, which owns radio stations across Michigan. She graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a specialization in public relations.
Prior to producing the first gentleman’s radio show, Polan worked as a reporter for MSU’s award-winning television broadcast, “Focal Point.” She also served as a communications and event-planning intern for Young, Smart and Global, a Lansing nonprofit community-improvement organization. Polan was also a brand representative working in promotions and marketing for Dan Henry Distributing, a Lansing beverage distributor.
“The Rossman Group ‘gets’ social media and the implications and power of new media,” said Polan. “I’m looking forward to putting my skills to work for Rossman’s clients.”
The Rossman Group specializes in issues management, crisis communication, litigation communication, media relations, reputation management, community relations and ballot initiatives. Last year, for the third time in a row, The Rossman Group was named the “Most Effective Public Affairs Firm” by capitol insiders in the MIRS/EPIC-MRA survey.
