It is difficult to come to terms with the final day of my year-long stint as senior intern with Truscott Rossman. I can’t help but feel nostalgic as I walk the halls of Boji’s eighth floor, knowing that today is the capstone moment of a long, arduous and highly-rewarding internship adventure.
The things I have taken away from this experience have far exceeded my expectations and taught me more than I ever thought I’d learn.
True to its word, this was not a file-this-stack-of-papers-and-fetch-me-coffee type of internship. I have had the rare opportunity to work with real-world clients, network with some of Lansing’s most notable movers and shakers and become part of winning team that taught me the tricks of the PR trade.
To my friends at Truscott Rossman, I can’t thank you enough. I feel privileged to have worked with such an incredible group of people. You have profoundly shaped my career outlook and have given me a firm stepping stone as I push forward in search of full-time employment.
I know that wherever I land in the coming weeks, I’ll always be a “Groupie.”
