Grand Rapids, Mich. (Jan. 8, 2014) – CWD Real Estate Investment, West Michigan’s leading investment and property management firm, has hired Lisa C. Young as Marketing Manager.
Young joins a dynamic team of more than 30 real estate, finance, investment, and property management advisors at CWD. She will be responsible for planning and executing all branding, marketing, and public relations activities for the company and its properties.
The move comes at a busy time in CWD’s history. Well known for its leadership in the development of Grand Rapids’ retail and the urban core, CWD is weeks away from finishing renovations at three significant downtown historic buildings: the Ledyard Building (125 Ottawa), Trust Building (40 Pearl), and 50 Louis – which includes CWD’s new headquarters.
“Lisa’s background in professional services, her community involvement, and her understanding of workplace trends from her time in the office furniture industry provided a nice match for the CWD culture,” says CWD co-managing partner, Scott Wierda.
“Lisa will help further our goal to offer superior customer service while providing high-quality places to live and work,” says CWD co-managing partner, Sam Cummings.
Young has 15 years of marketing and public relations experience in Grand Rapids, including nine with the law firm Smith Haughey Rice & Roegge, where she was responsible for the award-winning promotion of its move to the historic Flat Iron Building. Young is immediate past president of the West Michigan Chapter of the American Marketing Association, board member of the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, graduate of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce’s Rising Women Leaders program, among other community volunteer work. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations & Advertising from Grand Valley State University.
