Truscott Rossman congratulates our client the Clean Affordable Renewable Energy (CARE) for Michigan Coalition on its victory in Tuesday night’s election. The NO on Proposal 3 vote won in 82 of 83 Michigan counties.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Clean Affordable Renewable Energy (CARE) for Michigan Coalition issued the following statement this evening about the results of today’s statewide voting on Proposal 3:
“Voters clearly recognized that the state’s constitution is not the place for costly energy policy.
“The overwhelming rejection of Proposal 3 is an endorsement that the state’s existing energy policy is working. Voters understand that out-of-state billionaires should not be driving Michigan’s energy future. They also recognized the state’s hometown energy providers are continuing their commitment to renewable energy projects, and protecting the environment while keeping costs down.
“We want to thank the hundreds of thousands of members of the CARE coalition for their tireless work and support, and Michigan voters for their thoughtful decision on this important issue.”
