Truscott Rossman expands account executive staff, hires new executive assistant

LANSING, Mich. – Truscott Rossman is strengthening and expanding its team with the addition of recent Michigan State University graduate Lauren Zdeba as an associate account executive and former legislative staffer Wendy Larner as executive assistant to the CEO.

Zdeba, of East Lansing, has interned with Truscott Rossman since January, working with clients including the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority, the Great Lake Stewardship Initiative and the Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, where she graduated with honors.

Previously, Zdeba interned with the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Lansing franchise of Two Men and a Truck and the Big Ten Network, expanding her skills in marketing, promotions and public relations.

“Growing our account team means better service for our expanding client base,” said John Truscott, president and principal of Truscott Rossman. “We have plenty of places to put Lauren’s considerable skills to work as we move forward in our strategic plan to expand our services statewide.”

Most recently Larner, of Bath, was chief of staff for Rep. Tim Melton, serving as liaison between legislative offices, providing constituent services and drafting and analyzing legislation. Previously she was a legislative assistant to Senate Democratic Leaders Robert Emerson and Mike Prusi and to Speaker of the House Andy Dillon.

“A comprehensive understanding of legislative affairs is critical to providing the excellent services our clients depend on,” said Kelly Rossman-McKinney, CEO and principal of Truscott Rossman. “Wendy’s experience is a great addition to our team.”

Truscott Rossman represents local, statewide, national and international clients from its main office in Lansing and satellite offices in Grand Rapids and Detroit. The firm offers a full range of communications services, including issues management, crisis communication, litigation communication, media relations, new media, government affairs, ballot initiatives, community relations and grassroots initiatives.
