T'was three nights before Christmas…

T’was three nights before Christmas and all through the town,
Ice fell on trees, making wires fall down.
The outcome was frightful, no doubt about that
No lights and no heat, no this and no that.
The timing was harmful to stores and to malls
Last minute shoppers were sorry they’d stalled.
The cold it got colder, the night really dark
But you’ll all have your power by Christmas, said Lark.
Our hopes they got higher,
as we stoked up the fire;
We waited and waited and waited some more
Day One, and Day Two and Day Three and Day Four.
The days came and went, with no power in sight …
Oh, what we’d give for some heat and some light.
It’s Day Six and still counting and we are not pleased,
We’ve tweeted, we’ve posted, our patience is squeezed.
Our message is simple as we head to Day Seven …
Put the “L” in BWL – now that would be heaven.
What we want, what we crave is someone with might
Who can cut through the crap and say “Let there be light!”
